Our Story | Help to Home, Inc.
Help To Home Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) which owns Hope Village of Manatee, a proposed 53-unit housing community for low-income families with children.
Our Mission Statement:
To provide temporary, supportive housing and life skills development
for families with children who are at risk of homelessness.
Help to Home began about 20 years ago as Family Promise of Manatee, a coalition of churches dedicated to helping homeless families. About 10 years ago it transitioned to Help To Home Inc. The board then began acquiring inexpensive housing units for homeless families with minor children, or those in danger of becoming homeless.
Our success in operating four housing units in the last few years has led us to acquire a large parcel of land for more homes.
The board purchased 4.85 acres for the Hope Village of Manatee Program early in 2022.
Hope Village will be built in phases, with the first phase of 14 dwelling units immediately south of 30th Avenue West. Future phases will be built further south.
Once the board fully understands the best way to help its residents and administer the village, the board plans a second similar village also in the central Bradenton area.

It’s very hard for someone to change their life for the better if they are worrying about where they will sleep tonight or if there will be food for dinner. They live in “survival mode.” That’s where Hope Village fits in. It gives vulnerable residents a chance to stabilize their lives, and then change things for the better. Housing is the foundation for life change.
Investing in the Hope Village Program of Manatee with your time, treasure or prayers has a return measured in terms of parents who are freed from the constant fear of homelessness and children who will be able to flourish in stable homes.
The overall cost of Hope Village, including land and buildings, is about $9 million. Help To Home Inc., the developer of Hope Village, has received a gift of $1.5 million to buy the land and build the street and underground utilities. The board is now looking for investors to help build homes and transform lives.

We provide inexpensive housing and then help moms and dads use existing community resources to overcome the specific barriers which have kept them in a survival lifestyle.
